If we can count Vespas, the most my wife and I have ever had at one time were four (one Vespa, one Ducati, and two Triumphs). We are down to three now (one MG and two Vespas). They were purchased new and are still under warranty if that matters...

not sure i think i have 25 right now, i like to buy really cheap old bikes, fix them to use them as daily transport.
until i find another interesting piece of junk and start all over again.
do that 25 years , and you will end up with a valuable collection of italian classics

i promised myself to stop buying bikes a couple of years ago. i"ve collected enough junk to last me the rest of my life....
having said that ,the last 5 bikes in the collection were free :-)

Heck Muzz , I am the same way , even more so in dotage . One or two bikes at a time . More addicted to riding than owning .

Yes this does sound familiar? I've had a few bikes I purchased and only rode once. And then again I purchased a couple of bikes that I never even rode at all. Yet they are all still hanging around the garage waiting for the day that I take them out for that Sunday ride. In the past my passion was Moto Guzzi. But now I have a few other brands as well including the new 961 Norton Commando. I have sold quite a few bikes but still I own more than I want to. I have tried to keep my collection under 30 bikes but there is always that one bike out there I just gotta have. I'm not personally proud of the fact that I own so many. It's more like a bad habit than a hobby. I admire people who have just one or two bikes. That's all you every really need!

I have owned a shit-ton of motorcycles over the years, a dozen or so Triumphs, many Hondas, twenty some odd Guzzis, Yamahas, BSAs, HDs... Wow, a bunch. I recently changed up a great deal of the stable, downsized if you will...

Only own 1 at present, but about to be begin foster sitting another one this week for a bit! Looks like my Norge will have an adopted Griso to hang out with in the garage for a while so it can be "exercised" more often that it currently is being used by its owner today. If I had a 6 car garage, I know it would end up being filled with cars and motorcycles and other toys!

Now here is an idea: I (or someone else) could offer our services as a "motorcycle exerciser". I have heard that some people who own horses allow others to ride them so the horses will get out of the stable and will get some exercise. They pay dog walkers don't they? Now all I have to do is find someone who lives within an hour or two of New Orleans who has too many motorcycles and who would like me to come by and ride them. Maybe I should advertise my services?
