V-7 II Brake Pad Follow-Up
« on: October 04, 2017, 04:47:26 PM »
Thanks for info and help regarding V-7 II brake pads. I have ordered new front and rear brake pads but that leads to other questions. Finding replacement front brake shoes was no problem but finding rear brake shoes was difficult. The Moto Guzzi service manual exploded parts diagram (page 32 of 61 item #7) doesn't even show a part number for the rear brake shoes (strange) and AF-1 calls them "special order" parts requiring several weeks for delivery (even stranger?). Why might that be?  Should rear brake pads last substantially longer than 23,000 miles?  I am fairly certain that I do not rest my foot on the brake lever.
