Heel Yes

Installed my brand new used heel shifter on the California Touring yesterday.  (Found one used from a fellow member on this site. IMHO it is ridiculous the prices MG asks for it's aftermarket parts.)  All's right with the world, bike shifts perfect and lay out is just right for my size 12's.  I still believe a bike the size of the CV14 should come stock with the heel toe option, not a $170.00 option add on.  Now I am done with my bitching, no more until after Christmas.......

I'm a bit confused by your comment. The Touring/Custom/Eldo all come with a heel/toe shifter from the factory. I **think** the Audace does not, but you said yours is a Touring. Did you get the bike new? If not, someone may have removed the heel portion.

In any case, glad you worked it out to your satisfaction. :thumb:

I bought the bike used, must have been removed by the PO.  Regardless, all is good now....

Sure glad the shifter is working out, I put a 3/4" spacer on mine to move the heel portion back to give my big foot more room.

I took it off after about 200 miles. Sold it to a member here. Then, sold the bike to britman. Sorry partner. I just didn't cotton to a heel shifter.

I always remove the heal shifter on my bikes because I find the foot room more valuable than the option to upshift with the heal.

I believe it is written somewhere, Hammurabi's Code, Robert's Rules or Order, the Kamasutra, or that weird half goat guy who is the "
"Sayer of the Law" in the Island of Dr, Moreau, a touring bike must have a heel/toe shifting mechanism.......... .

BTW drbone641 still enjoying the hell out of the "Sophia"........
