I’m not sure what’s happening with my headlight. It popped open while I was pulling my forks. It is split at the rubber gasket and won’t go back together. Everything looks intact, the rubber ring has seen better days but is definitely serviceable still....
Any tips? I really want to keep the all black headlight.

Original "Aprilia" brand headlight with the wide rim?

Not sure if it’s original.... I believe it to be.

Looks original ( except the painted rim). The rim attached to the bucket by resting on the tabs on top and tightening one screw at the bottom.

Thanks Turin. I tried exactly what you said and it wants to pull out up top whenever I get a bit of tension on that bottom screw. The rubber must be interfering somehow.

Try pushing the upper tabs up a bit. I had issues when installing a new rubber sealing ring.
