I see you're holding on to your floor lamp to keep it from washing away.  Did your desk already go downstream?

That isn't a floor lamp , looks more like one of those new-fangled personal propulsion devices where the little 2 stroke motor is on one end and a small jet drive on the other . Tell us Mr G , how fast will it go ?

Or perhaps enlist a beaver to help.

When I was young, In my late twenties and early thirties, this was my office at the mouth of the Colombia River.

But the name on mine was Triumph, and the water I ran it in was a lot rougher.
Mine was the motor life boat Triumph working out of Cape Disappointment Washington.

I have cox'ed her in 40 and 50 foot breakers.  When the fit hits the Shan and other boats quail at storms,  The triumph was called to her duty. She was and may still be the toughest lifeboat the Coast Guard ever had.

That looks like terrifying fun!  (fully appreciating the risks you had to take for the work you did)  When I was young and spending summers in Ocean City, NJ, the Coast Guard had several rescue boats at the island.  One was called "the unsinkable", and hit had what was effectively a bow at each end, and it was made to be able to easily seal all the hatches.  It could reportedly come back upright on its own if it was rolled over in a wave.  You probably know what the boat was, but to the laymen at OC, it was simply "the unsinkable".

I drive a Special Needs van for the local schoolboards.  They also send vans in where the  'Bumblebee' cant go.

Here are a couple of pics taken from the driver's window at the top of my route:
