Norge handlebar differences

Anyone know the differences between the pre 2010 Norge 1200 and post 2010 handlebars?  The riding position on my 2012 is not comfortable and the only risers ever made were helibars for the 2009 and older 1200. Not sure if I got the year differences correct.

Fairly sure the later bars are very like the Helibar position, which is higher than the early bars.
Mine is the early model, but I have got the Helibars.

Yep.
The issue won’t be how far forward or how low they are, it’ll be because your wrists bend at the angle where you sit your palm on the ‘bars.
If you wear a short sleeve shirt and rest your palm EVENLY across the grips, you’ll see that this is the case.
The Norge ‘bars are unnecessarily wide.
I have shortened mine by 40 mm each side and modified them so your palm rests evenly, they’ve been like that for 11 years and 160,000 k’s.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t believe me that they’re better.
One of us is wrong...

Yes mate..
It is now.
Just below the clutch lever on the fairing panel.

I used a 1200 sport top clamp on my 08 Norge
I now have lots of options for handlebars.

Does the sport top clamp bolt directly on the Norge riser? And is it non-U.S. models that have the ABS button on the left cowl cover?

The sport top clamp replaces the Norge top clamp will work on Breva's as well. I added the spacer as well.

I too would LOVE a set of the 1200 Sport top clamp. I removed a set of risers from my '07 Norge and find the stock position not-uncomfortable, but would love the configurability of the 1200 Sport setup. That's gotta be a rare find.
