Title: Head temperature Sensor Socket
Post by: John Croucher on March 25, 2019, 10:48:55 AM
I am going to visit a friend today and discuss making a batch of MG p/n GU30163301 Head temperature sensor sockets.  Is there any interest from others on purchasing one or more of these for your project or to put on your shelf in your Parts Distributorship?

It appears these parts are not available from previous sources.  I have a detailed parts drawing of the oem part.

Price has not been determined yet.  I will be dropping part drawing off today for a price quote.

I don't know about the socket but I believe I identified the thermistor as Vishay NTCLE203E3302SB0
It can be purchased from Digikey part No BC2730-ND it measures 3,000 Ohms at 25°C

Let Curtis help you out...this mod makes a nice difference as the ECU will see a much more stable temp to base its decisions on...beware, the OEM plastic one is prone to disintegration during removal even in the hands of experts...
