Yes...usually, small dogs tend to be "nappy, snappy, and very protective" of their owners.  This one was very mellow, and even let me pet it... :thumb: :wink: :cool:

A bit damp?!?  Matt said it was the wettest GRIN rally he has seen in 30+ years.  :shocked: :rolleyes:

Still, 45 riders attended anyway, normally, it is about 75-80 riders.  :thumb: :bow:

I predict that this year should be better, and hopefully drier! :cool: :boozing:

Two motels in Reserve, NM and three in Magdalena, NM.
VLA is open for tours again.
One restaurant in Pie Town has unfortunately closed this year but two still serving food and pie(!).  :thumb:
Drier than normal monsoon season up to this point.
Watch your speed through Socorro and Magdalena.

Yes...don't forget about the motel in Quemado, the infamous LARGO motel and cafe, and there are also 8 rooms at the Rally site, the Eagles Nest Campground...but they fill up quickly...

Rooms by the rally have been booked for some time. Been unable to reach anyone at the Largo Motel. Guess I have poor timing.

However, I already have a room reserved at the Eagles Nest Motel, (at the Rally site / campground...).  That's where I stayed last year! 











Many of my old riding buddies from the Phoenix area will stay at the Largo Motel, down the road in Quemado.

Just down the road from Datil....is the legendary and iconic LARGO MOTEL & Cafe in Quemado....
