Looking for Cal 2 luggage
« on: July 10, 2019, 09:06:14 AM »
Thinking I need a set of hard bags and mounts for my new Cal II. Hard to find stuff for older bikes. Anyone have a set they’d part with?  Great running old bike.

Thinking I need a set of hard bags and mounts for my new Cal II.

the original bags (and trunk) for the Cal2 were rather brittle.  If you didn't catch it, the plastic would crack completely around the attachment, and that would be that.  I coated the interior of mine in Fiberglas and that solved the problem.  Also, the cheap rivets all needed to be replaced by screws.

But, that's what you're up against: Yes; a lot of Cal2s were sold, but a lot of the original accessory bags and trunks would have been tossed as being less than great quality (the De Tomaso era of Guzzi had issues with over-enthusiastic cost reduction)
