Turns out the time I went was Rockers original, in 2013.  I cant believe it was so long ago, but I had a great time.  I capped it off by staying the extra day to go to Gateway.  What an amazing ride and museum.  I'm still telling people about it.

Keith

Nine years ago, now, and my memory is fading.  Were you with us on the group ride to Gateway Canyons Resort?

That was a really fun day!

Yes, I made an uncharacteristic change in plans and stayed for that ride. I’m so glad I did, it was a great time. I had a red Stelvio back then

I am planning on attending the Ouray rally again this year. After selling my Stelvio last year and being forced to chase everyone around at the Utah Rally last fall on my poor little Yamaha XT250, I have recently acquired a lightly used 2022 V7 Special being sold by Kballowe. Recent knee surgeries made the V7 hard for Kevin to ride so he listed it for sale and I snatched it up. Huzzah, I'm back on a Guzzi.!

Great job Scott!  Looking forward to seeing you all again. My buddy in Oceanside purchased a V7 Centaurio, but he won't ride it this far.  I am hoping to bring a couple of new folks along, but as always no one knows until it's on their doorstep.

For anyone who is interested, I should have at least 2 campsites available.  If anyone would like to claim them, let me know.  Also, I think most of the campsites will accommodate 2 tents/bikes, so if anyone is willing to share their site they can double up and share the cost.
Just please post your intention here, i.e., “I am looking for a campsite to share” or whatever, and hopefully we can get everyone paired up with a site or a cabin.

Count me in, again. Will probably ride the Mille this time, and join Scott's gang for the ride down.

Bump.  Sept. 8 is coming up fast.  Lots of beautiful riding in one of the most scenic parts of Colorado.  Let me know if you need a campsite, I have a few spots available.

Looks like I'll be camping, so sharing is a great idea. Are the sites you are reserving the water/electric sites?

I booked a cabin -- too old to sleep on the ground.

I'm solo, arriving Thursday, leaving Saturday. Happy to share -- let me know if you want a bunk.

You can also camp at the Hot Springs just north of the Koa it gets really interesting around that place an that is putting it lightly. A few of us went up there to relax one evening What a site too see.

Gary, so great to hear from you.  Michael D and I were visiting a few weeks ago and we talked about our fond memories of you as our riding pal.  Won't forget those wax lips on our ride to Mt Scott.

I'll have to check out the Hot Springs.  I've camped at Ridgway before.  I'd like to take the Hauler up there, $5 diesel makes is pretty expensive.  Certainly more affordable going double.

Staying at the Ouray Riverside Resort - Inn and Cabins.  There were camping cabins at the KOA where many riders are staying at around $130 per night.

Sorry for the slow reply, but have been out camping.
The sites I have are tent sites and do not have hookups for water or electric.  But please feel free to make use of them, just let know if you do so they are not over-committed.
Looking forward to a fun weekend and great riding.

Alright, I have site 51 reserved. However the gal mentioned that KOA corporate now owns this location and the corporate policy is that they can't guarantee a specific site? Whatever that means.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Skippy

Glad you can make it.  I think I still have space in the adjacent sites if you would like to share.

I'm in 50.  As I recall there'll be plenty of room for several tents across a couple sites

Please check back here before the NAR for more details on specific plans that I will post in the next couple of weeks.  And there will be several folks riding down from the Denver and Colo Springs areas, so let me know if you would like to ride along and I can get you the details for meeting up.

Bump, only two weeks away!  Some details.

Thursday, Sept 8 we arrive in Ouray.  We will gather for dinner at the Ouray Brewery at 607 Main Street at approx. 6 PM.  Please try to attend, as this will constitute our first opportunity to meet and get oriented for the upcoming rides.

Friday at 9:00 we will depart from the KOA campground and ride the Durango, Dolores, Telluride, Ridgeway loop.  Lunch will be in Durango at the Steamworks Brewery, 801 E. 2nd Ave.  At Telluride, there will be an unpaved option to take Last Dollar Road for the “off-road” crowd to contemplate.  Not sure who if anyone will want to do this, but if you are interested you might Google it to determine its condition.  It is a shortcut back to the Dallas Divide, a bit rough for a few miles, but quite scenic.
Friday night I have not made any dinner plans, but may see if I can come up with something…

Saturday we will ride to Gateway via Norwood and Naturita.  Much of the road has been repaved since we were here last and it should make for a great ride.  Lunch will be at the Paradox Grill at the Gateway Resort.  Those who wish can take a tour of the auto museum at the resort.
Saturday night we will meet in Ridgeway at the True Grit Cafe, 123 N Lena St. at 6:00 for dinner.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

I live in Delta. If I don't make it to Ouray I will certainly try to make it to Gateway. If yall want to swing by after lunch, i'm 70 miles from Gateway then 59 miles from my house to Ouray. Would love to have a bunch of Guzzi's in my driveway..... You could even do a little wrenching if needed.
