I'd like to remind everyone that we have a few categories for posts. I'd like us all to focus on putting the right threads in the right places.
General Discussion - Think of it as the virtual campfire with tons of different topics
Swap Meet - This is the place to put your stuff up for sale. This includes cross platform links (Facebook, Craigslist, etc)
Bike Builds, Rebuilds And Restorations Only - Pretty much sums it up. This is where you can post about your restoration, rebuild, etc.
Sharing a tip to jump around to different sections of the board with ease. In the bottom right of the screen, you'll see the "jump to" section. Simply select which section you'd like to go to and click "Go".

Just trying to keep it all neat and tidy.
Thanks,
Luap

So this morning, this post was on general discussion, which JJ posted a week ago. Today, it’s under Bike builds. Sorry, but I’m confused...

Can't post any bikes "FOR SALE" anymore in the General Discussion....
That's includes eBay, BaT, private sales, etc. That's what Luap was talking about....
I believe THE MODERATORS moved it under Bike Builds...

That was a mistake on my part, I meant to move it to the SWAP MEET.
My apologies on the oversight and mistake.

Hard to beat a forum that'll take the time to tell you where to put it! :thumb:

That's not the way I read it all.
If a forum member is selling their bike, parts, etc. then it belongs in Swap Meet.
If a forum member sees a bike being sold on Craigslist, ebay, BAT, etc. by someone else, and thinks it might interest other forum members, then it should go in General Discussion.

I'd rather all for sale items be in the Swap Meet section. Cross-links included. It keeps things tidy and people going to the "market" know where to go instead of bouncing around. Let's keep all "market" things in the Swap Meet section.

The Swap Meet section is going to balloon in size then. Forum member's for sale/wanted items will get pushed down the page.
That's fine. People will browse multiple pages the same way they do the main forum. It's never been an issue before and I don't suspect it will be now. We're not talking about that many posts anyways, in the grand scheme of things.
We cannot have some people posting for sale items in general discussion and others in Swap Meet, others cross-links and so on. We have to keep it all in one place.
I get entirely too many "report to moderator" messages for things in the wrong place. I have to be more efficient with my time doing admin type stuff. I'm very busy and already work around 70 hours a week. I need to streamline things and appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation in this matter.
This matter is closed. This is the way I want it.

Still seeing some cross-links to bikes for sale (eBay/Craigslist, etc) posted in General Discussion. These too need posted in the Swap Meet section.
Thanks, Luap

Looks like we're making good progress on this new initiative. Thanks all.
