Still priced less then the rest of the world pays for fuel.

I remember back when leaded gas was being phased out I would put 1/2 tank of regular leaded and 1/2 tank of premium unleaded.  The gas station attendant hated me.  LOL!  Back then BMW put out a study saying the bikes performed better doing this combination.

Not so sure about that. Fuel in Canada last year was pretty equal to what i was paying in the US taking into account the exchange rate. Was unable to return this years so I don't know if this is still the case. Venezuela as of 10/26/20 fuel was $0.076 cents per gallon. Sure you cannot buy water or food but fuel is cheap.

Let ask for some opinions.  For vintage bikes w metal tanks, for winter I drain tank and slosh a mix of diesel fuel oil and cheap motor oil around, to coat the metal.

Given the outstanding performance of K-100 fuel treatment in preventing rust, should I add some to the oil mix I use to coat the empty tanks?

Note, that in the Spring I clean the tanks w solvent before use.

The vintage bike guys around here empty metal tanks and spray the insides with fogging oil.  We use it (f-oil) on the winter two stroke toys religiously.  Never an issue.

Unless I'm wrong, diesel does not deteriorate anything like gasoline does. I've long pondered the idea of winter storage with a healthy dose of it in the tank, clear down to the float bowls.

For many years I have added Stabil, filled the tanks at the gas station ride home, run the carbs dry,and never have an issue in the spring. I had a boat ,IB, that I filled the tank in the fall with Sta-Bil then it sat for over two years till I sold it and it started right up after sitting. Here in CT we have been burning corn in our gas for years.

Since 2006. The techs at the boatyard where my boat lives in the summer had huge problems with ethanol gas in boats starting then. Biggest problem is that ethanol gas loosens up the sludge that most boat gas tanks accumulate over the years. Go out on a bumpy day, that crap starts floating around in the tank and clogs the fuel filter, killing the engine. It was recommended that one carry four or five fuel filters aboard instead of the obligatory one. I replaced the fibreglass tanks in my boat in '06 with poly tanks, as the ethanol raised hell with 'glass tanks, too.
