Now that's funny...although I have read that most millennial's could care less about driving any cars at all, let alone driving a stick-shift!

I taught my son and daughter millennials how to drive stick shifts. Son kinda got into cars. A couple of 300 Z cars and a Sub. WRX or whatever the factory hot rod is. Daughter got to drive her boy friends hot Mustang one time and was addicted. They're not typical thankfully. I'm happy about that accomplishment.

I think that mostly applies to Americans of any age. The rest of the world has stick shift as standard and auto box as the extra choice. Here you learn to drive a stick shift when getting the license.

I think this falls in the "Wisdom" category.

It's a little known fact that when Triumph TR-3 roadsters were built in the 1950s, they were actually the size of Buick Roadmasters.    As time went by, as as they wore down, they ended up the size we see today, barely able to fit two people.

As proven by this Triumph advertisement, here's the size they originally were (by reference to the two normal-sized passengers ...

Or maybe people are just bigger today than generations past. Remember how that '74 Honda 750 seemed like a big bike, but when you see one today it is as small as a little V7.

I blame our good living now a days...    :boozing:
The best part of riding a motorcycle is to tilt the horizon and to lift the front coming out of a corner and to drift the back end powering thru loose dirt and to catch a little air topping a hill and... yeah it's all good!

Well, could be, but the people in that car couldn't be more than 4 feet tall and weigh about 80 pounds .... !

The bike thing is real, somehow.   I'm not all that far from the same size that I was in 1972 (well, height-wise anyway), but when I was wandering Mid Ohio a couple weeks ago and looking at all the old bikes I used to own, I was amazed by how small they looked and felt.    The Marketeers have successfully convinced most people that they're not a true rider unless they're packing 1600cc between their legs, and people don't take long trips on one unless the bike needs a ladder to climb up on to it, but that feeling of "Wow, that bike is SMALL" is still there ....

Lannis, are you suggesting when the advertisers of hamburgers, donuts, bottles of hand cream and stuff, that they would use models with small hands to make their product look bigger? Surely not!
