« on: August 18, 2016, 10:44:08 AM »
Had a question from a rather reclusive member re a WG member by the name of Kermit Weeks . No record of a Mr Weeks , but that does not mean the gentleman is not here under a screen name . Kermit , are you here ? Anyone know Kermit ? Just curious .

I only know of two Kermits.

One was Teddy Roosevelt's son, and the other was green!

Kermit Washington was a pro basketballer, famous for a fight on court. Only Kermit I remember outside the frog.

I know of a Kermit Weeks. He was an aerobatic competitor of some note. Won a few championships as I recall. He also owns the Fantasy of Flight museum in Lakeland, Florida. May not be the K.M.  you are referring to.

Kermit Weeks was a big time real estate investor in FL that owned allot of WII aircraft.

Sadly he was killed at the Reno air aces in a P51 that came apart on the course during a race due to a  tail trim tab failure on the elevator that caused the aircraft to pitch up at very high G's which blacked him out and he lost control and over stressed the aircraft.

He was a colorful and good guy good pilot...RIP

Uhh, Mike.. that was Jimmy Leeward..

It's the English spammers that are the real problem , harder to spot because they speak the same language

Google shows A Kermit Weeks , don't think he is the KW in question .

You'll have to get yourself over here Dusty.

There's loads of good riding in the Peak District and you could practice your linguistic skills while you're there :thumb:
