Do you think lowering the triple tree by an inch would be ok and kind of offset the 19” wheel diameter or not really? The format end was vague on the Roamer and I didn’t like the balloon tires of the Bobber. Thanks Kev m
I had 2 Roamers and a Bobber. The Bobber actually handled better, just didn’t like the balloon front. The Roamers actually felt light and vague.
Yeah I have a V7-850 Stone that is a great bike.......but..... ....it still doesn’t have that original V9 motor. Now put an older V9 motor in the V7-850 frame and.....naw I wouldn’t do that.Still musing about the Roamer. Thanks Kev m for your inputJack

What is it about V9 motor that you prefer over that in the V7-850?....
The early V9 (I can't say about the EU5 ones as I've not ridden them so they might be the same as the EU5 V7), but the early V9 felt like a big block.I don't know how/why, but it had the overall feel very similar to my Cali 1100 Jackal. I'm assuming it was tuned for torque. But it was such a strong impression I sought out more demo rides on another day to confirm it. I felt the same way.
Sorry I'm so left field in this. But damn if you didn't just speak what I have felt since riding the V9 Bobber Sport and the 850 V7.I agree.I agree so much I recently considered seeing if a dealer would take my RK in trade for a new leftover BS.
OK, lots of personal testimonials to how the V9 motor feels.... But is there a technical difference between it and the motor in the V7 850?
Thanks Sarah!Hopefully Cadre did this before I received it.Jack
Ok call me crazy but I’ve been thinking about a Roamer, again. I know but that motor just haunts me, I dunno, whatever.Anyhoo, I’ve seen some with a V7 fuel tank and liked the look. Now I’m wondering if anyone has put an 18” front tire on one?Any other mods?I know it would cost a few pesos but they can be had for pretty reasonable $’s right now.Whatcha’ think?
Wouldn't it be easier to buy a V7-850 and put Roamer seat and rear fender on the bike?
