I've been saying it wrong then:
I would call my Breva "1down/6up" as in: 1st gear at the bottom and 6th gear at the top.
Seems like everyone else would call a Breva/Norge "1 down <one gear below neutral> and 5 up <five gears located above neutral>"


I would call my Ambo "1up, 4 down" but I guess I need to switch to "1 up, 3 down"

I always liked this lovely, clean, Mille GT, seen at the Datil Rally in New Mexico a few years ago...
