Title: 2021V7 suspension
Post by: guinzomoto on December 03, 2021, 06:50:12 AM
Bought a 2021 V7 Stone E5 and was not happy with suspension but there was nothing to choose from for the rear.  After doing some comparisons I discovered that the rear shocks of the V7 2 were 390 mm and the new V7 is 380.  V7 3 is 350 mm.  Called tech support for KTech and after they looked into it I bought a set of their Laser shocks.  Bolted right up and with ride height adjustment are perfect.  So it would appear that any shocks made for V7 2 will work for 2021 V7

Working for me, I'm using the Shock Factory shocks off my V7II on my 850.

I have always started a suspension upgrade with the fork. Race Tec, California, is a great go to. They will take your fone call, offer real world answers w/out scaring you.  R3~

Also got the Ktech tracker fully adjustable fork cartridges but not had time to install.  In the past I have upgraded different front ends of Japanese bikes with Ohlins cartridges.  Huge difference especially living in the hills of Arkansas.
