That is a very nice rig! It is very tempting. That 1400 makes a great tug I am sure!20 years ago I purchased a 1999 Harley Ultra Classic with HD sidecar so that my wife could have something fun and different in her life. She was wheelchair bound even back then but I could lift her into and out of the sidecar. This fun experiment was short lived because the next riding season she had weakened to the point that she could no longer hold her head up in the sidecar. I sold the rig soon after.What I hadn't anticipated is just how much I enjoyed driving a sidecar! I caught on very quickly to the rig's idiosyncrasies and found myself having a blast with it.I have looked everywhere, but have not been able to find a single picture of my wife in the hack, so this picture will have to do.
Agreed. It is beautiful. I would think that someone could engineer a computer controlled electric motor and brake in the hack wheel to compensate for the sidecar and make driving easier.
Already been done. My '96 Ural Sportsman has a true rear differential and is full time two wheel drive. It does not yaw with acceleration or deceleration.
Urals are not in the performance league of that 1400 but they are super fun, and all Urals have reverse. Having reverse is very easy to get used to!! I am having a blast with my 2012. I haven't been on 2 wheels since I picked it up 4 weeks ago.
Interesting. Is that a new system, or a aftermarket upgrade? I thought they were all in or out on the 3rd wheel.

Stock on 1996 and some older models.A bit more delicate than the locking rear axle, but less upper body workout on the pavement. If you are in the slop the least tractable wheel spins while it's partner rests and you remain stuck.If you fly the chair the pusher slows down and the sidecar wheel accelerates. When the sidecar wheel lands, the speed differential puts a lot of strain on the differential and often damages it.That's why it's placarded "Don't fly the chair."But can't be beat for street touring.
You really think the price is in line? thats $15k for the bike and 10K for the hack/setup?I have no idea, just seemed a little spendy to me
It does seem a lot optimistic, although that Tomahawk sidecar starts out at $11.5. Today a 2015 California Touring trades for maybe 8k? and that used Tomahawk SC probably lost at least 30% of it's new price. I think the real world price is around 16 to 18K. It is a nice unit.

Im thinking he might be insulted a few more times on the way to selling that rig! Its a great rig, but your playing to a small crew.. Sidecar nuts....who are into Guzzis.. Not a big group. I thought 16-18K was a good number myself.
Urals may be a POS but they sure are fun. Maybe he has never ridden one. Mayor, I think you just might have submitted the best and most serious offer he receives on this.
itís a depreciating asset and will only continue to depreciate in value. Nice bike and chair but itís not a rare classic.
