OXYGEN SENSOR
« on: September 11, 2023, 02:20:09 PM »
Anybody replace the o2 sensor on an 8v 1200 engine? My ‘13 Stelvio NTX still seems to be running rich despite a FI sync and air screw adjustment by a Guzzi Guru.

No warning light or codes but I’m gunna gamble on a new o2 sensor. Any experiences or brand recommendations?

Which "air screw exactly was adjusted? The air bleeds on the bottom of the tb's?  Hopefully not the sacred screw sealed with yellow paint on the left hand tb. Are there any mods to exhaust or air intake?  Are you running a factory fuel map or other?   Have you checked for any stored fault codes with a diagnostic tool like guzzi diag?  An open loop map would eliminate the need for 02 input and result in a better running machine.  Engine temp and air pressure sensors could also be a cause for bad trim input.  Beetle at Griso . org is your guy.

I didn’t mess w anything. Jason W out of Duvall WA synced it and got the idle down via Guzzu Diag. Like I said no fault codes, present or past.

At minimum I’m gunna pull the oem sensor and at least inspect it.

I got two Warner sensors. Hope to have them in before it snows to see if they make any difference. But my Calvin is taking up too much time.

I take it it's all stock by what you are posting, O2 sensors do go wacky. I would check the temp sensors also with the figures in the service manual for accuracy. GuzziDiag will tell you the info on what they say or check w/meter.

What is the color of the spark plug ceramic after an engine cut off at speed?
