Someone machined some from aluminum I think. Better than the fragile cast plastic bits.

Are you referring to the ones that go with the bolts that hold the screen to the metallic supports ?
Mine are buggered and I was going to make some stainless ones.

Yup....those are the ones.  They are nice...bought mine years ago from the fellow on this site and painted them black to go with the smoke tinted windscreen.  Have held up perfectly for many years!

I have a set on order from a supplier, but don't hold much hope.

Pickle,
I know a guy, if you twist his arm hard enough.

Can anyone post a picture of these things? I'm wondering what's so special about a washer.

Thanks Charlie!

A metal washer could be half that thick. Being as thick as it is, though, it might be difficult finding anything like that commercially. Easy to make, probably out of aluminum and anodized.

I wonder if the washers that break have been over-torqued? Hopefully the nut behind all that is a nyloc or something similar since almost zero torque is best for a windscreen.

The ones on the Norgy were cheap plastic and cheap chrome. Roger I have to twist his arm the next time I see him.
