When I was there over 20 yrs ago, the old guy that ran(?) the place used to ride a decrepit, bee-utiful old Harley into town to the watering hole. Wonder if it's (and he) is still there.

Sadly, he passed away a years ago...but they have several memorials / photos posted there in his name....

Don was quite the character. He had a tanker that he converted into an RV. His Mule had quite the personality as well.

I met the man many years ago while attending the National rally in Camp Verde (? I believe). Went sight seeing and got to Jerome, and found out he was from my little corner of the world. A very friendly man.
No trees were harmed by the conveyance of this message, but a lot of electrons were seriously disturbed.
