W-650
« on: October 17, 2021, 11:15:33 PM »
Well guys , I've got my W650 listed on Ebay ,   being how the V-7II and the W650 are so close to filling the same nitch in the garage ... one of them needs to find a new home .

The Wife and I both like the Guzzi a little better, but they are both 50'ish HP and 400-pound air-cooled twins.   I think the W650 might be a little quicker if it came to a race but either one can go faster than I want too !

Any of you fellers see anything I forgot to put in the listing ?

Nice bike. I always thought these looked more like a Triumph, than a Triumph does.

Yep.

A revised, strengthened replacement can be had from a Kawasaki dealer for about $350.

If you have the original tank badges, probably a good idea to show them. Would the tank badge cover the ding in the tank?

I forgot about these, your post reintroduced me to them- they are very cool bikes. Love the bevel drive for the cams.

Loved this little machine!!!

Sold after riding nearly 50,000 miles.  Never a nickel's worth of trouble.  Yeah, one of the pipes broke at the weld, but Kaw replaced under extended warranty.

I'm soon to be 79 years old, and am entertaining the thought of 'ageing out' of motorcycling.  Or, simply selling the 1991 R100GS and 2016 Triumph T120, and buying another W ......... this time a 2021 W800. It was such an easy bike to ride and maintain.

It'll definitely hurt to get rid of the GS.  I've owned this bike since new, and we've been on some real adventures together.  At least I thought so!  But, I'm getting shorter and the bike is getting taller!

Well it's about to close

It might be better to sell it in the spring ,

These bikes are "timeless" so six months really dont matter .
