Hi, Folks.
My 2007 Norge seems to have a rather lazy return spring on the throttle. Basically, when cranked, the throttle will not automatically return to the closed position. I'm not overly concerned about this as there are two cables (open/close), and I know I can make the throttle bodies close, but this could be a problem getting the provincial safety approval. I currently have the air box out, so am checking to make sure that the cables look okay (they do), and that the linkage at the TBs works as it should (seems to). However, I couldn't help noticing that there doesn't seem to be any external throttle return spring on this setup. I assume that the TBs must have internal springs? The parts diagrams don't shed any light on this, as there are no springs listed or shown, that I can detect.
Assuming that I am correct, and that there are no missing springs, does anyone have any recommendations as to how the mechanism can be made to operate normally? I and planning to do a cable lube, and assume that might help a bit, and have already cleaned the TBs as well as I can without removing them. Anything else?
Edit: The throttle (grip) seems to turn with little effort, so I don't think that is the source of the problem.
Thanks,
Shaun
