remember MPH cycles?
« on: March 05, 2017, 02:30:49 PM »
Hi guys its been a long time since I have checked in here. After it was decided to end my dealings with PGA, my tech and friend Larry kept along doing service and repair of bikes, inside the building I own in Houston. Also in that building was MPH automotive, which I founded in 1983,and sold the stock to an individual who I now see is not the type I would have dealt with.I have a 2 year employment contract to MPH Auto . I have been wrongfully terminated from that company and he has "evicted" MPH Cycles, a separate corp, from the premises I own outright without notice, or even reasonable time to move the many bikes, tools, parts etc. I am pursuing every avenue to repair this problem, in the meantime I want to sell some parts that were aquired over the 17 years of running MPH cycles. I do not have accces to the small parts, i grabbed the big stuff first, California tailbox, black,   a Ti race pipe set , several hydro  cam kits, fuel pumps,  cast wheels for Stelvio, Agostini exhaust for Cal 1400,rear rack for 1400, seats for many models, rear rack for V7, stainless frt fender fro V7, Chrome steel tank for V7 Racer,  custom green painted side covers for theV7R limited edition,  just a truck load of new old stock, but not that old. if you have any request, just ask, I will sell all of it cheap to make some space and fund a legal battle. thanks please dont pm me, email is best, this retirement is taking all of my time

Good luck Mike . I was basically evicted from a building where a business belonging to me was located . Not evicted in a true fashion , only denied access . It does suck .

I'm afraid all that we're going to be able to do is offer you our best wishes ('cause we're all on your side), buy some parts if we can use them (and I'll bet some people can), and maybe talk one of our lawyers into offering some legal work at Guzzisti rates ("pro bono") ....

It's bad when scumbags decide to make your life hard.   That's not the way any of us want retirement to be ....

Bummer. I just sent an e-mail with a list of stuff. Some I need right away, some maintenance items for future, and some long-shot impulse items that I would consider if you have them.

Is the Ti race pipe for a V11 LeMans? If so, you might be well served to advertise it on V11LeMans.com too.

Mike...this is not the news I was hoping to see today.  I'm happy to help where appropriate.  Let me know if you want to get together with the local Guzzi guys if we can as a group help out in pooling resources, or any other work on inventory/shipping or other related items.

Not knowing all the details, including lease verbiage: can you evict them - at risk of not finding new lessees; can rent be raised to untenable (to them) levels? Any WG lawyers in the area?

Crimeny Mike, so sorry to hear this.

First, do you have a good lawyer?  Please PM me if you want to discuss.

Second, I join Paul in his offer.  If you want to get together with some honest, decent folks, well, I'm buying the beer.

Mike,
Very sorry to hear this, it is pitiful along with a lot of other things I can't type on this site.  I need to try to recover my bike, can you tell me if it was assembled or still in pieces?  I intend to go to the shop tomorrow with the title and try to claim it.

Mike, not only do I remember MPH, I recall that dealers like you that weren't local helped me keep the faith in the brand.  Todd never failed to return a call or an email that helped me through initial Guzzi ownership.

Best wishes,
