went to lunch today with some guys from work. haven't been riding my bike much. have the dreaded tail light stalk failure on the Jackal. thought I had it fixed but a ride down a red brick road took care of that. got a burger at Jakes. and there were two dudes in a booth. one was bald and had a spider web tattoo on his bald head. looked to be late twenties. we sat on the patio and there was a grom and a Honda rebel parked in the lot. and I was thinking well maybe those dudes own those bikes. they finish lunch, walk out to the parking lot and get on the bikes. I don't bother to turn around. I was surprised that the rebel had a nice little purr too it. I wouldn't mind getting one myself just for short hops and commuting. but I have to wonder, those bikes go so much against character, do they ride those bikes just to try to get people to make fun of them, so they can then pick a fight with them and beat the crap out of them. they looked liked dudes you wouldn't want to mess with. or do they just need cheap transportation, or do they just enjoy riding. maybe all of the above.
