Advice sought for sudden Hi RPM revving 36mm DellOrtos

The only similar thing I had was when one cable in the throttle splitter wasn't seated down properly in the little circular block

I found it by pulling the pipe from the air filter to the carb off and have a look/finger of (can't remember which) at the slides and see if on is open?

Two Checks:
All good suggestions. Maybe choke plunger not seating.

All of the above, plus: If using Delrin manifolds, make sure o-rings are in good shape and sealing. Make certain carbs are tight up against manifolds and snug. Check carb manifold sinc port screws for tightness. Good luck.

Thank you, all. I will take apart the carbs later on today to verify Slide's operation. Also, I will look for any likely spots of Vacuum leaks.

Dick, I do have Delrin Manifolds, so these will be checked also, per your suggestions.

Pete, the last time these carbs were serviced thoroughly was in late 2009. Then the bike sat largely unused for most of 2011 while I was taking care of my ailing father at my home  -

In all that time, I did not drain fuel from tank. I did start and run the bike around the block every two weeks or so. But as my usual shut-down routine is to flip petcocks to "OFF" as I neared my driveway, and then let the engine stop from fuel starvation; I did not concern myself with old fuel left in Bowls or affecting Carbs elsewhere in their assembly.
 
By early 2012 I started riding more regularly, and the CX100 has been flawless in all operative modes since then; till yesterday.
