Aaaaaaah yes...the legendary Kawasaki Ninja!  No problem...Beautiful bike!! :thumb: :boozing:

Now that would be a very cool sport touring mount to ride "In The Wind" for 5-6 hours.

Smooth, comfortable,  and FAST!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Given my age and the distance I'm travelling (San Antonio) this year, I've decided to stay in Magdalena.  We'll see if this is the smart decision.  I'm looking forward to seeing all you all, especially since I cant really make the Cottonwood trips any more.

In past years, we have stayed at the "High Country Lodge" in Magdelena...and it's just fine for a couple of nights... :thumb: :thumb: :boozing:

Been working with Matt Forslund the last few days on rally preps and getting his trailer loaded with giveaway goodies. I'll be flying back home to Florida tonight, though. Rally is gonna be a blast for those that are able to attend, neat giveaways, including Matt's usual drawing to win a cool Guzzi! He will also be bringing over a few other motorcycles for sale, so worth checking out for those still on the fence!

Whatís the tarantula situation in Datil?  No laundry, and now this.  Geez.

You stand a greater chance of being terrified by standing next to an unkempt, unwashed, unlaundered Datil camper than a cute little tarantula. They are protected in Arizona, very timid and if you are bitten, then you probably deserved it. Supposedly taste like shrimp - taxonomically related. Shake your boots out in the morning , Scorpions have no pity.

Maybe I could keep them away by putting a few sweaty t shirts on the ground around my tent.

If it helps we can come by and throw beer cans at your tent then pee on it.

Best be careful if you do that.  Tarantulas are attracted to exposed flesh.  And they can jump waist high.

I'd be much more concerned about an intense afternoon MONSOON, than any tarantula...(just sayin') :thumb:  :boozing:

Rocker's lovely S.O. Red had some poor girl jumping onto a picnic table at the Okie about 10 years back when she picked up a Tarantula and was trying to show the poor girl how docile they are

 TS

Have not seen any Tarantula's this MONSOON season, and usually I see at least one or two in the yard...but have seen a few of the dreaded Tarantula Hawk looking for them!!

Richard did a fly-n-ride (Moto buy) and is on his way back to home base.  I'll post a thread on that.  I'm doing some car maintenance and some packing for my fly-n-ride.

LIKE!

While I admit I like a little dab of A-1 or other "sauces", if the steak is cooked properly, you don't need any...

Ay Caramba ! Not this topic again. While I might eat a fine ribeye sans sauce, most other cuts demand A-1. As an interesting side note, Tabasco was so popular in the 1800ís that Rudyard Kipling wrote that no British field officerís mess kit was complete without Tabasco sauce. 👍👍👍

We've had nearly 11 inches of rainfall here since July 1st including 3 inches in less than 2 hours one Sunday night. The desert is in bloom with an amazing variety of wildflowers.
Last nights low temp was 50 and the high today is 77.
HTH someone with planning.

Thanks, twowings!! :thumb: :thumb:  We have had "above average" rainfall for July this year, here in Vortex-Land.  That is great, because the last two summers were called "The NON-SOON" - aka - no rain whatsoever!  We are forever grateful for the rain this year... :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

See you soon in Datil! :boozing:
