Want fries with that shake?
« on: March 30, 2015, 11:53:12 AM »
My house has been bouncing for the last half hour.  Starting about 8:15 tremors have been rolling through every few minutes.  They aren't real strong, but they're coming so close together it's hard to decide if it's one or several.  I think I've counted 6.  It's odd because they feel more like P waves than S waves -- shaking this way and that instead of up and down.  Also, the earthquake map isn't showing them at all.

The Okies are probably the cause of it.

The gods are just upset that you bought a new headlight.  You will muck up their evening adventures.  The shaking is just a warning.  Don't p*ss off the gods!

Still nothing on the world map.  Either I was imagining it (I wasn't) or since I'm on muskeg (peat bog) I'm bouncing to a different jello.  It might be the muskeg amplifying a local quake that's too small to make the register.  I took the advice and went for a ride.  No tsunami sirens, so I came home again.  Sunny-ish day in Sitka.
