They took most of the garage contents. Tools, chainsaws, and the bikes. They left a 4 wheeler and some other assorted items. You are probably right, that’s kinda what I expect. There’s a possibility that they could have been gone for a decent period of time. I’m not sure how long it’s been since he was at the cabin last.
thieves must be getting pretty desperate..
How did they get in? Side door, window? How was the garage secured? Just a padlock? I live in a rural part of Tennessee as well, meth-head burglaries are always a concern.
Thanks guys I appreciate it. I figured if there was a convert for sale anywhere you guys would know. Here’s a pic of the duc. Still looking for a pic of the convert.
They cut through a gate and a couple big padlocks. Im sure he will have cameras in the future. There may be a surveillance camera on the Rd that goes up the mountain. I sorta suspect that it was probably a neighbor that stole them. The house is in a pretty remote area and his is one of the few houses up there not occupied year round.
like to see the first attempts at riding the Convert. Why won't it shift? What is wrong with the clutch. What a weird bike
It's a very sad commentary of the times....Motorcycle thieves...and thieves in general...should be hung by the neck until dead...Good luck with your recovery...
Things like a SimplySafe or Ring camera security system is inexpensive and so very easy to install. Always add extra sirens as well. The SimplySafe phone app works great too. Every camera and the system can be accessed through your phone wherever you are. That certainly won't stop every thief, but at least they'll be recorded on camera and the sirens 'may' alert others or change the course of events. These are not easy bikes to fence or to even part out.
Trying to bring a bit of humor to this, I would kind of like to see the first attempts at riding the Convert. Why won't it shift? What is wrong with the clutch. What a weird bike, scratching head. Best of luck on getting them back.GliderJohn
