Nice photos. Your choice of 1:1 aspect ratio is interesting. Looks like some selective color filtering too.

Depending upon the setting and subject. The barn door picture appears more meaningful of it's history in black and White. Attached is a picture of my adoptive father sometime in the late 30s-early 40s. With the winter scene and all B&W helps really portray the moment.
