Hey all, next on my list is replacing the shocks on my 2000 jackal. Well really the foam dampener has crumbled away to nothing and I figure that just replacing the shocks entirely is probably the easiest route. Or at least I thought that. I can’t seem to locate anything on Harper’s and MG Cycle doesn’t know when they will get the Ikon shocks in again.Wondering if anyone has thoughts on a suitable alternative?
I have used Showa "Harley" air shocks on my Calis for years. You can buy them for $50-$100. all day long, and you can replace the oil in them to adjust the damping, add air with a small pump to adjust the pre load. They fit well on a tonti framed bike, and for the money, they are hard to beat. They were used on Harley touring bikes, like the road king, etc. for many years.Rick D.
Interesting did you need to find bushings for them to fit the eyes?
