Sump spacer Tonti
« on: August 11, 2022, 11:25:04 PM »
Question for those with a sump spacer on a round head…should I use some Permatex 300 on both sides of the lower gasket to seal the sump to the spacer for ease of installation, or are there reasons why I would wish I didn’t later on?

Thanks

No adhesive or sealant on sump or spacer gaskets.  You will regret it later.  Just grease up both sides of the gasket.

I install both gaskets with a very slight smear of grease to hold them in place, when I drop the sump I've been lucky that the spacer and both gaskets stay in place but no big deal if they do come with the sump. Two tonti and a loop none ever leak at the sump. , Ray
