Garbage, someone needs to improve this
« on: May 05, 2015, 08:17:32 AM »
Well, my 2004 EV factory AGM battery only made it to 116,000 miles.   ::(
It isn't even covered by the warranty any longer.  >:(
I guess I will be looking into a new technology.

What about one of those ones where if it gets cold, you have to hold the key over for a few minutes so it will warm up and work?   That sounds like a real advance in functionality ... !

I changed mine out at 70k but it was still cranking fine.  Sad to know I left a few miles on the table.  I guess I just needed to fix something within my competence level  ::)

I have found if you disconnect the speedo cable the odometer no longer works which prevents the battery from knowing just how long it has been in there so it has no clue on when to fail.

Maybe that is why this one lasted so long. The ITI odometer didn't do a good job of letting the battery know how long it had been in there.
