Georgia Campout
« on: July 11, 2017, 05:35:33 PM »
As many of you know, my life was turned upside down late last year. As the Georgia MGNOC rep., what little I did before, became even less.

BUT, a Guzzista, from the area in north Georgia near the TWOofS campground, has volunteered to put together a plan. Mike Powell now lives in Dahlonega, and has gotten us on the calendar. I am getting the info in the newsletter, and on here.

So, if you are interested, plan on a campout October 20, 21 & 22, 2017.
Contact TwoWheelsOfSuches at this link if you want a cabin or more info.

http://twowheelsofsuches.com/event/georgia-moto-guzzi-campout-2/?instance_id=94

I can't be sure that I will be there, but plan to try.

Scream,   I got those plugs but just filled my tank, so the next time it's emtpy I'm doing mine. I got to move my wires again to make it go once in awhile.

Steve.....my tank is empty right also now as Ive been trying to find time to take the tank off and clean the air filter and replace the rubber intake hoses at the TB's. I'll give you a holler when I get my act together. Thanks!

Sounds like a few "Tech Sessions" would be a good activity for the Georgia Campout!

I've found that:

1) Rolling your bike into the campground.

2) Putting it up on the centerstand.

3) Unrolling the toolkit and break out a multimeter.

4) Sit next to the bike staring at it and looking puzzled ....

... will get any problem solved that you can come up with at a rally or campout!

I quit wrenchin at rallies just cause the cheep f**ks want to act like they're broke down, instead they are just too cheep to spend $ before they go.

I have also seen where you often get the 'too many cooks' problem.

I saw a rider with a simple burned out taillight bulb have the seat and tank taken off the bike. All of the fuses and relays where pulled. When it was all said and done, the bike refused to start.

I know this is an old post, but if anybody is interested in sharing a cabin with me let me know as I may be going by myself.  Otherwise I will probably just tent it.  Let me know if you are interested..... :bike-037:

Oh Oh....I forgot about that.  I was going to go Black bear hunting this year....I just checked the WMA I hunt in and the seasons are different than the Georgia Campout dates so hopefully I can go to the campout...

As much as I'd like to, it is the height of the deer rut in my part of NC, so I can't be sure that I can be in N Ga then. Ive never been able to get there in the fall because of hunting commitments. I sure would like to make it there though.
