Busted V11 Cross Over

The cross over on my 2000 Jackal broke at the weld. I am planning on just building a new crossover with out the baffling, my question is will there still be enough back pressure? It has the stock pipes on it.

Get a crack-proof crossover from guzzitech.com. If all you do is switch to a straight H-pipe, it probably won't effect the fueling much.

I've had an H pipe from Fast by Ferraci on my 01 Cal Special for years. Works a treat.

I use the one without the muffler in the cross and I cut the crossover in half and put a splice in with band clamps. Helps with alignment so it's less likely to crack.

yes you can build your own, make it a slip joint w/clamp in the center section for easy fitment.

you will loose a bit of mid range torque and gain a bit of noise under you. you do gain a little bit freer revving in the 4-7000 RPM range. one of the crossovers is better built than the other but I don't remember which.

Slip joint- that's what I was trying to say but couldn't think of the word, anyway you can build your own or the easy way is to buy one, cut a section out of the cross and add a slip joint. Clamps from an Ambassador are what I use to secure the joint.
