- tried to kill this long running mid America rally, but failed. It starts May 20th, located on the banks of one of the worlds great rivers! A better time is hard to find.

Maybe more details?

Except in case of catastrophe I should be there :thumb:

Damn if I didn't already have plans with the grandkids. It would be good to see him again.

Would like to but that's my daughter's birthday weekend.

Cool beans Steve, thanks for the heads up!

It's been announced that this is it for the Rally, at least as presented by the original crew. End of an era is at hand, best get your lazy asses to the rally!

Bring her !

I said it 30 years ago and I'll say it again that the rally is worth twice what you charge. Watch ut for the racoons as they dug into my tank bag for two apples.

I think it's a bit odd that we go to rallies to bike trip, but the best of all is 60 miles from my home. Illinois.
-
Bring bug spray.. :boozing:
-
Chucks right. Mosquito’s are easy to manage with standard deet products, but the little (non biting) mats can be super annoying. Get some nat juice , can’t remember what it’s called, but it works pretty well and last much longer than vanilla.
-
I may have to *cough cough* drive. I know.. TMI, but I was installing a new argon bottle on my TIG welder, leaned over, and.. uh.. my.. uh nether regions didn't care for it. After a (pretty nice) ultrasound :azn:  experience, Dave the Doc says to not do that and take it easy for a while. A 350 mile ride on the AeroLario may not be in the cards, but I'd hate to miss this one.

Fly in if you have to, just be there!

This is the local hotshot, & the best I've ever found. Most Hy-Vee stores & Casey's carry it. Stops those nasty little gnats.

Bad storms over there this AM on it's way east across IL.
-
It was a great rally.

As usual the Illinois Rally was fun with EXCELLENT chow.
The rain was gone by early afternoon, so it's all good.
This was the last Illinois put on by this crew. After 35? years they deserve a rest!
Job well done & many thanks!
-
Yeah, well done by all. Where has the time gone?? At any rate it was great to sts with the denizens that don't normally go east of the Wabash. Sergio drove up from Florida, and Karl Werth was on 3 wheels, but still in the air.
Good times.. :thumb:
