Ok...post a pic with your bike on a ferry and name the location of the crossing...

Here's a couple...

Peel Ferry crossing from Arkansas to Missouri and Cassville Ferry crossing from Wisconsin to Iowa

Well, the point is that you do have to ride to the new tag.  :)   No old photos.  So, you have to ride somewhere and find us something to hunt for.

Have fun with it.  Hell, you can take a photo of your bike in front of your garage and call that a tag.  :)

Ok Paul, so you realize you now have to actually go somewhere in the present and take a pic and post.   You can do a ferry,  but it has to be posted the day you were there.

Kidsmoke sent me the coordinates of the last ferry in Indiana, but it's no longer there. C'mon, Paul.. ride somewhere, and take a picture..
Or. I have several pix of bikes on ferries over the years..

Yep.  To play:

1) Check the last photo and the tag descriptor.  i.e.  "bike at bar or brewery"
2) Ride to bar/brewery and take a photo.
3)  Post photo of your bike at the tag (bar or brewery in this case)
4)  Ride someplace else and take a photo.
5)  Post photo of your bike at new tag with a descriptor.  Something like bike at post office or tanning salon.  :)
6)  Chill.  You've temporarily won the innerwebs.

Enjoy.  It's just a game meant to give yinz an excuse to go out and ride and interact with WG geezers.

Sorry guys...messed up on the rules.  Will try to find something interesting shortly!  I cede my position to my esteemed colleague from Indiana in the meantime!

May get a chance this weekend to take one soon, even with a surprise visitor too!

So, Tracking back through this, it appears someone still needs to pick up the brewery tag...

That should have been about the easiest of all.

Governors Island Ferry, the arch on the right leads to the ferry and in the middle you can see where the waiting room is located.

Due to security in Lower Manhattan it’s hard to get close to some places since 9/11.  As it was, the cops were right behind me and they were quite suspicious.

Historical drinking at Fraunces Tavern:

And a bad shot of the Brooklyn Bridge:

I think he's bagging both - brewery(ish) and ferry.

Now we need a bridge! (extra points for suspension)

Gorgeous bike, BTW!

I don’t know if this is kosher but either a historical(local or famous significance) tavern or bridge.  Basically, any old bridge or bar won’t work and just one will work.

Thanks, but it looks good from 5+ feet away. Whenever I get it back to Floriduh it’s going to the powder coater and the painter as it’s seen better days.

Just for background:

“Fraunces Tavern is a landmark museum and restaurant in New York City, situated at 54 Pearl Street at the corner of Broad Street. The location played a prominent role in history before, during and after the American Revolution, serving as a headquarters for George Washington, a venue for peace negotiations with the British, and housing federal offices in the Early Republic. It has been owned since 1904 by Sons of the Revolution in the State of New York Inc., which carried out a major conjectural reconstruction, and claim it is Manhattan's oldest surviving building. The museum interprets the building and its history, along with varied exhibitions of art and artifacts. The tavern is a tourist site and a part of the American Whiskey Trail and the New York Freedom Trail.”

Well, the only historic tavern around here is frequented by serial killers so I went for a bridge.  It's not the Brooklyn Bridge so I did a two-fer.

Oyster Creek Bridge was built in 1924 on what was then Pacific Hwy 1.

https://bridgehunter.com/wa/skagit/oyster-creek/

It is just north the Blanchard Bridge that was built in 1931 over tidewater and the Great Northern Railroad.  The red house at the north end is where Edward R. Murrow grew up.

Both are eligible for register of historic places:
https://www.wsdot.wa.gov/environment/protecting/history-archaeology-culture/historic-highway-sr-11

If Blackcat judges this to be sufficient, here's the next tag.

A historic plaque about 100 years old (or more).  It could be a builder's plate or similar.  Bonus points if the combined age of plaque and bike is greater than 180 years!

"Dedicated to the memory of Governor Lister by the Ladies Improvement Club of Edison, Wash."  Apparently the ladies of Edison were Rough!   :boozing:

I can't find a date - it may have been placed when the road was finished in 1916 or after Lister died in 1919.

Not at all. All part of the game! As it turns out after bagging the noodle (!) my intended tag was unavailable, and a dinner date was beckoning. I'll leave that tag for my next try. Oldest marker in this young metropolis is 1946. I may have to take a pass. Perhaps some Europeans could snag this next one?
Here’s the noodle.
