That's why they call it the The Moto Guzzi National Owners Club and not The Moto Guzzi National Riders club.  Guzzi guys don't ride.     Unless it's to a sale at the day old bakery outlet.

This was the original location for ‘Hogan’s Heroes’, a great deli/restaurant that we used to meet up at for a lunch and ride. It grew and got too big, relocated and was a premier Italian restaurant until the owner was caught cooking meth after hours.

Next will be a cool old storefront that has been closed, but shouldn’t because it looks so cool. Wide range of possibilities here. This one is the old General Mercantile in Moreland Ga.

Finally a day under 90 degrees to ride.

No shortage of abandoned storefronts in Northeast PA, unfortunately I don't have a smartphone and I'm not going to carry a camera with me.  Love the tag-o-rama idea though.

It's no big deal carrying a camera. Put it in a tank bag or something and join the fun.

Decided I needed to make a prop hub for a homebuilt airplane, so ran to my material supplier about an hour away. Naturally, I took the freighter..
While they were cutting the aluminum, I ran up town to see if I could find a tag. Hmm, a nice mural, but we've done that.
Started home, and stopped at a Muffler Man. These boys were born in California, and have migrated all over the country. Originally, they held mufflers out, and were at.. ta da.. muffler shops. They've fallen onto hard times, though, and will be found selling about anything now.

This is a "Bunyan" type for the tag.

I realize there aren't muffler men in other countries, so *any* unusual roadside attraction would be fine.
Hey, Kidsmoke.. there used to be one in Indy.. maybe still is?
Oh, the prop hub? Here it is.. some assembly required.

Can't think of it offhand. And I have to take my truck to Chicago this weekend, so I'm at least 3 days out from a search.

We have some mid-coast Mainers on this board. I happen to know that there is a restaurant on Rt 1 up theyuh, that's got a 40 food cooked lobsta coming over the roof to assault the leafpeepers waiting in line for their lobsta roll... that'd be a good 'un....

They aren't that hard to find Chuck.  I don't think you need to water it down.  There are lot's of muffler men and women still standing, most likely just in US though.   I think it's ok if it takes days to find, but sooner or later a giant will pop up, I know were to find one, but it will take me till next week to get there!  If someone beats me great, if not, I think you'll like what I find.

Yeah, somewhere in my archives, I have a Spaceman muffler man from the Chicago area. Just the same, this is a world wide community, and everyone should have a chance at all the prizes for winning.

I’m not in Chicagoland any more.   I’m hanging in central Il, Bloomington/Normal.  But you’re right there is a Space man there.   But that’s not what I’m going for.

I’ve never been there before. I’m shocked at how small it is/was.

And remember, tag ideas can be reused.  Lots more muffler men out there than I was aware of.  I used this map:

Bump ‘cause the weekend is here and attention must be paid. :)

The world’s full of battlefields. Skirmishes. Etc.  If it weren’t my tag I’d run up to Pittsburgh and the site of the Homestead strike.

Hmmm....there is a Revolutionary war marker in Harlem noting a rare win by Washington against the Brits in 1776. I’ll try to grab it this weekend.
