I wasn't trying to kill the thread.  I thought they are "interesting," and posted one of the few I know about around here. I'll post a new tag if someone doesn't get one.. eventually.

Now THAT is sad... As for an artesian well, not sure I've seen one in the northeast. Maybe a climate thing?

Ok ok.. I didn't realize how hard it might be to find a flowing well. So New tag.

Some people call these "gazing balls.." but we in the know.. (wink wink) know they are homing beacons for alien space craft.
Apparently E.T. likes Busch beer.. (cheap beer thread content)

That disco ball thingy.  People put them out in the garden here, too.  I think they're landing sight markers for our alien overlords.

Grab!!

I rode about 160 miles today looking for sparkly yard balls with no success. Decided to ride around my neighborhood when I hit home and Bingo!  Found that about 3 blocks from home. :)

Beat me to it!  Almost had a combo artesian spring and alien homing becon...

Oh well, the artesians had turned off the water anyway...
I learned they are called kugel fountains: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kugel_fountain

I like the bridge pictures - beautiful area and lots of bedrock.

I could make that the tag but then what would your next tag be?  Bike parked just outside a shed?  :)

How's the weather shaping up?  Warming up nicely, I hope.

Beginning to see the signs of spring John.  Even with nice weather, if I break the hiatus on the rego it costs big time.  It's expensive enough as it is.  The bike is the one luxury I give myself trying to stay within the budget of being a super-annuitant.

Can't wait to have it back on the road.

Sounds like we should have an overlap of a month or so before things get too cold here to ride.  Our insurance runs year round here so I could ride all year but I'm a wimp.  A good friend does ride all year but he has a BMW K75rt as a winter ride.

I was playing a tag game on ADVRider today and got that one but couldn't find a cocktail lounge.  I'm thinking there might be one in an old motel with a bar attached.

I don't know about sissy drinks but according to HL Mencken:

"During the Colonial period, tavern keepers stored their spirits in casks. When the casks got near empty, the dregs, or tailings, would be mixed together into one barrel and sold at a reduced price—poured from the spigot, which was referred to as the cock. Patrons wanting this cheaper alcohol would come in asking for ‘cock tailings.’

I'm rapidly forming the impression that sadly history like this will soon be forever lost.

I’m a dipsomaniac and I wouldn’t drink here so it must be a cocktail lounge.

I know it says it has food but I’ve been reliably informed that it is where the young professionals come to get drunk and laid.
