It's coming, boys.  May as well get ahead of the curve with a merged threadfest.

Don't speak Italian but the youtube CC translation says the Stelvio should be ready for the Italian market 2023. For what it's worth...

If they do this I WILL buy one.... And take all the garbage I bolted to the Stornello off returning it to a clean simple V7...

Wonder what a new Stelvio will do to V85TT values when it's released.

We will see what happens...

It had a bit of a Norge look to it, I know MG doesnt seem to have 2 ADV bikes at the same time, perhaps the V85TT will stand alone and the new "stelvio" in name only may be more of sport tourer from the looks of it. Time will tell...

Am I supposed to be seeing a new Stelvio somewhere ?

Same here, all I see is the first V100.   Can someone please post a screen shot?

The only Stelvio in that video is two wheels on the podium. I think people are mistakenly looking at the black v100

If you guys can’t figure it out from the video, then take the clue, the Stelvio itself will be far too complicated for you.

Well.
I thought I understood the implication of the video, until I read reply #8.
That suggested something quite new was in the presentation that we had not been looking at for the last few months.
Now, on the topic of complication…
If you’re suggesting that a Stelvio will be “far too complicated “ for me, I’d like to know how you’ve managed to form an impression of my I.Q. ?

For the sake of the thread, I’ll presume you were trying to be witty…(It won’t work BTW).

CAM, there is no Stelvio in the picture, just a display with wheels. Guzzi's way of telling us one is coming.

Will be interesting what they do, and how it will impact the V85TT

You’re right Chad, only the interesting ones are…
Whether you meant to include me or not, you actually caught me in your net because I was perplexed as to where the Stelvio was as well.
Anyway, if it wasn’t about me, who DID  you mean by “you guys” ?

Must’ve been me included in the simpleton comment.  The title of the thread was misleading.  Some guys just can’t help being a dick.  Glad my V85 isn’t that complicated.

Well there had been very few responses up to that point..
We’ll find out who he meant shortly. So far we’ve ascertained it wasn’t me… :clock:

I am sure I'm not the only one......but that music seems like it was from a 70's porn video.

As for MG keeping the V85 and Stelvio.....KTM had the 790 (890 now) and 1190 (1290 now?) and they seem to do fine. With the V85 being the best seller......why not expand a bit with the Stelvio?

I think we may be seeing the last of air cooled guzzi's  with e5 and soon e6 and beyond and when you look at the specs of the  liquid cooled competition out there .  The new Stelvio will be aimed squarely at the GS and with  with this new compact block should be able to give BMW a real headache.  Swing arm travel  advantages for one. I would hope variable valve timing would be in the works also.

Yes to all that Lucian, I think and hope you are correct.
I just hope that in the case of VVT and such, Guzzi do not spill their drink all over themselves trying to get into the same bed technically as BMW and the big four Japanese..
I do think as do you, that there are a LOT of buyers out there who want a GS but don’t want it to be another BMW boxer.
If Guzzi (Piaggio) gently pick away and have their product sorted before being offered for sale, then it looks pretty rosy and try not to do too much too soon.

I have been in product development all my career.  Marketing comes down and says they need something to announce or they will be furloughed until they have something to do.  Engineering says "well, the summer intern that we chose to pick out the wheels finished his task before he went back to the Polytechnico, give them that."
First you look where it should be, then you look where it might be, then you look where it won't be, then you look where it mustn't be.  And when you find it you discover "that's where it should have been."
