Thinking of heading up in June to the BMWMOA rally in Great Falls. May pass near Utah 261. Has anyone ridden the Moki Dugway? Called Utah’s deadliest road and the videos are intimidating. BTW, Itchy Boots climb/descent of the Sani Pass is worth watching.

I am going to try to ride it this year also. It appears to be very doable. Harley riders traverse it regularly.

We started down it until we saw the signs about tight turns and gravel. I was on a loaded Goldwing with my wife.
I want to head back on a dual sport. Having seen it now its looks pretty easy on the right bike. My favorite part of the country now.

While it might be messy in rain, it's not a difficult road. The turns are actually pretty mild, it's not steep and it's fairly wide (remember, it was built for large trucks). No car or motorcycle should have any problem.
Calling it Utah's deadliest road is a real stretch. I'd think I-80 would have that honor by a long ways. There's plenty of room for cars to pass; what's deadly about it?

‘Deadliest Road’ ??? I don’t think so. Been up and down on a Concours and a R1150RT, going down the first time is bit tense but it’s a good gravel surface road and wide enough for trucks to pass.

Much easier going up than down. I used to support group tours for EagleRider. That road is a regular part of their Wild West Tour. Because the substrate is so porous, it responds very quickly after rain. Plan your turns and swing wide. I've done it with moto and with a van pulling a trailer with a moto on board. Fun. Certainly not a risky challenge.

Looks like a dirt surface with some pavement, high up, twisty, blind, and no guard rails. I hope the view is worth it.
Twisty and high up I like, the rest, not so much.

The Moki Dugway is fun and it's not as big of a challenge as one may think. At the top head to Muley point for some good views and a nice camping spot.
A friend went up and down the dugway on his Goldwing with his wife and towing a camp trailer. He did have a car tire on the back of the Goldwing. This was during his epic 6 month two-up tour of the U.S.A.

I’ve ridden it several times, on a Concours and a K1200RS. No big deal. The road surface is hard-packed gravel but the curves are paved (but dirty). Enjoy the ride and don’t sweat it.

I’ve been up and down it a bunch of times including two up and loaded. It’s not at all difficult just take your time. Last time I was up they had paved the corners but that’s been awhile.

Just a few switchbacks to deal with, great views from up top and while climbing. Road is wide enough not to create any pucker factor...well worth the trip if you can make it, along with a ride thru the Valley of the Gods nearby. Stop into the Swinging Grill in Mexican Hat for a great meal!

It has been on my list for a while. US50 be damned, this looks like the loneliest highway. If you have qualms, going uphill might be easier; that would be East to West.

I've ridden it several times, both up and down.
As mentioned, up is easier and it's not as challenging as it looks.
The only caveat i would offer is that the paved portions at the turns was always covered with aggregate so stay alert.
The views are truly magnificent. The suggestion to ride the Valley of the Gods is a good one.

I've ridden it several times. Easy ride. Beautiful area.
I can't imagine it being more deadly than the highways in SLC.
Moki is plenty wide and traffic almost nonexistent.

At the top of Moki Dugway is a dirt road to Muley Point. It's worth the side trip. Helluva view.
