MG Cycles $309 per side + some new base and head gaskets at a minimum.
949 big bore kits are available for $309. Either way I budget $1000 +/- for new cylinder kits or replating and new rings and hope it stops there.
You asked so I will give you my 2 cents. The exhaust system sez the bike might have been used for TT (tavern to tavern riding). The seat cover is baaad. You are buying a pig in a poke. You might be able to buy it and just ride OR it will become a money pit. I wouldn't pay over a grand for it.Good luck in your choice,Tex
I WAS considering this T3 near Trenton, NJ but the T3 seller has yet to reply. https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/mcy/d/bristol-moto-guzzi-850t3/7498741581.htmlI kept shopping and came across this '84 V65 SP in Saratoga. Looks to be in better condition and though 3 hrs away may be a better deal. Same question - what issues to look for on this model.https://albany.craigslist.org/mcy/d/saratoga-springs-1984-moto-guzzi-sp-65/7495742229.html
Just check the valves, adjust if needed and ride. For the first couple of thousand miles check them a little more often than you normally would to get an idea if any are closing up quickly.

I had a V65 for a couple of years, great bike, really enjoyed it.
