Cylinder Head Removal - Drop the Motor?
« on: July 14, 2019, 05:46:25 PM »
I assume I don’t need to remove the motor in order to take the heads off, but I’m having difficulty fitting a socket over the center stud nut at the top. Do I perhaps need to remove the tank to get an open end wrench onto it?

Take the tank off or it's bound to get scratched. Makes everything much easier anyway. Unless it's changed, which I doubt, the top nut is a 12mm one so make sure you're using the correct size socket but any decent, thin wall socket should do the trick.
