It's a good point Aaron, and if accurate it's an illustration that the point of most restriction on the circuit is the point you want to open up if you want to increase flow and therefore performance.

As a matter of fact when Harley went to closed-loop EFI they demonstrated that their exhausts were the restriction point (and more so than necessary to meet standards) because they also started selling 50 state, street legal mufflers that they said the EFI system would adjust to and would gain up to 10% more power.

At the same time they said you could change the intake OR the exhaust without a reflash, but change BOTH and you need a new map.
