Scooter built into the fender of an old Beetle

That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

I’d never actually see Beetle’s “fender” ‘till now,
I bet he’s got a nice map under there..
BTW..
He’s done a fair bit for us, is there any danger you could back off a bit on the “old” part..?

It could have been worded better: "Scooter built from the fender of an old Beetle". I was expecting a scooter that was carried in a Beetle fender and was detachable for riding.

The post reminded me of the "Segway", introduced 18 years ago and guaranteed to absolutely revolutionize transportation, actually replacing the car and motorcycle in urban areas.

So I went to the site to see if they still sell them (which is probably a sign that the revolution hasn't got traction yet!), and found their sales pitch.

In today’s world, lifestyle is everything. Our line of personal mobility products allows you to travel conveniently, quickly, greenly and most importantly – fashionably.

"Everything?"  "Fashionably?"  I think I've found their problem .... !

It's a pretty good job of pimping a mini-bike.
