I've sent ours in already John. We are scheduled into the B&B, same room as last year, arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday. We will be carrying our passports this year and plan on returning via the top of Lake Superior. Elaine has not been on that road so it will be a nice trip. Elaine and I are looking forward to the rally again this year, it is always a good time.

John,

I think you have to change the name of the event to get it pinned. Maybe if you call it "The Minnesota National", that will get it done.

Elaine and I got home Wednesday afternoon after 2100 miles on the road, this time it was over the top of Lake Superior from Grand Marais via Wawa to St Sault Marie. and then down through the southern section of Michigan. It was a very good trip.

The highlight of the trip was seeing an adult pair of Moose just east of Wawa on Monday morning. What's the plural of moose -- mice???. We saw them on the edge of the road, they sort of wandered from the ditch to the road surface and then down that surface for 100 yds or so. Big animals, about the same size as an adult horse. Interesting.

I don't see them as a huge problem for vehicle traffic, unless you hit one on the dark. First, they don't run a deer, they walk along like an old horse, one foot in front of the other. They don't seem to be very aggressive, they didn't even look at us behind them by 100 yds or so.

An interesting experience.
