Spring Has Sprung - NJ Ride
« on: March 20, 2020, 03:38:37 PM »
Got out on the V85 today as it was 75 degrees here in south Jersey.  First ride since installing the Agostini “Y” pipe, and one of those adjustable windshield lipper things.  Did my usual 70 mile loop through the Pine Barrens.  The TT ran great, and it felt great to get out.  Only a couple sprinkles here and there, but I was able to dodge the drops.

Does the Y pipe change anything but the noise and heat?  I think I saw something mentioned on it, but I got lost on about page 40 of the loooooong thread.
Essentially, I guess my real question is- if you install the Y pipe, did you do anything else?
I'm picking up a V85 tomorrow.  Weather looks great  40 F, followed by rain.  Oh, well- bad day motorcycling is better than...

I only put on 70 miles yesterday.  Fueling seems fine.  Slightly louder, and seems to spin up quicker.  Like my former V7 with Agostini pipes, I fully expect the ECU to adjust after a couple hundred miles.  Definitely less weight and heat.  Good luck with the new bike, you'll love it.

What part of south jersey are you at ? My wife grew up in Millville.

Southern Ocean County.  I know Millville, about an hour southwest of me.  I'm near the beach.

Wife has taken me to a few of the beach towns, ocean city, cape may, wildwood, just a few. Beautiful places and great boardwalks. Best subs and pizza slices in the country 👍

Spring hasn’t sprung.  It’s giving tastes of being sprung here and there, but it’s still holding out.

Oh darn! For years I would be in Tucson, Phoenix or Salt Lake city 4/1 to 4/7. No chance momma would let me go this year.

Cam: Is that Bass River behind your bike.
If things don't go down hill I'm planning for the Western NY Rally.
Joe Casey couldn't get his race bike running well enough to race @ Daytona. Be well.  R3~

Bud, close.  It's the Mullica.  Favorite photo stop point for  me.  There a yacht factory right there.  I have a cabin reserved for WNY, so plan to be there (with Nick and Kev) as well.  Let's hope it goes, still a couple months away.

Ah, Cam, I wish I'd been with you on that ride! Snow on the ground here in Denver but it warmed up yesterday. I believe I'll be able to ride that old V7 today!
