It's a Verner 3 cylinder radial made in the Czech Republic. 42hp. at 2500 rpm. Cruises at 2000.

Wow! What a project  :thumb: It must be so light and I can imagine it being covered in fabric like a WW1 airplane. Good luck Chuck :thumb:

Well, yeah. Fabric covering is still the most practical skin for certain brand new airplanes, even for new designs going into limited mass production.

Rode the Mille over to Aspen for a few days catching up with friends. Today was beautifully cool -- afternoon thunderstorms now brewing:

Lots of loaded bikes coming through, bound for or coming down from Independence Pass. I wonder about the guys standing up on $18,000 ADV bikes to massage their butts. Is there no such thing as a stock all-day saddle?

We went to Marin County last week, where it looks like every 20th car is a Tesla, and the rest are hybrid SUVs. Change is coming fast.

Just back from a four day vintage car rally around the Otago region.  mainly gravel roads and mountain passes.  Nothing younger than 1931 allowed.  About 160 cars all up.  Other than drowning in a ford, splitting a rim 1/4 of the way around, one puncture and having a distributor cap arc all over the place we had a pretty uneventful time.

Great fun, and had a great run home.  All the bugs from a fairly new build ironed out now. :thumb:

A short shakedown cruise into town after working on my Roamer. No parts left over, nothing fell off, it got me back home, and no rain encountered. Overall it was a good day.

Great day on MO State Hy. 38 from Marshfield to Houston. That stretch seems to have an equal number of tight twisties and 80 MPH sweepers. The traffic was so light, I turned around and took it back toward the house!  :thumb:

Have managed to create the environment that allows fireflies to thrive in the back yard , so walking out there at night is a treat , like being a kid again. The rabbits seemed to have disappeared , which makes me sad , at least there is a pet goat in the yard behind .

This no place like home.  I am so lucky to have bought 2 acres of estate lots covering over 2000 acres with a 50 mile view. 27 years ago in the metro Loisville-So. Indiana.  And the fire flies are out.

The salamander that crawled into the man cave to visit. And a skunk.

Pretty sure your rabbits are just summering here in SC for a change, enjoying playing around the muscadines & choke berry bushes in my back yard.  We've never had this many out back, relaxing in the afternoons and acting the fool in the mornings before it gets hot.    I could probably catch them and ship them back to you...?

Long long day at work today, but 10 minutes on the small block winding it out in the dark on the way home erased everything.

Rode to Vail (135 miles) Monday morning, back Tuesday morning. Not too hot if you leave early and are off the road by 11am. Mille, back on points after the Dynatek business, ran flawlessly and did 50 mpg.

B-  work was sucky for no particular reasons so I came home for some wrench therapy.  I then trashed a set of lower triple clamps and chipped my newly painted frame in the process. But I’m alive and my family is happy and healthy...

Rode over to Bentonville for what was billed as a vintage motorcycle show. Beautiful day for a ride, took all back roads by upper Spavinaw WMA, back roads into Jay. B'Ville was completely overrun by hundreds of cretins on mufflerless cruisers. You could literally not hold a conversation. There were a few interesting bikes on display, but the knuckledragger rodeo completely killed the mood   :weiner: I dropped the DR in the garage and spent today trying to super glue the windshield back together. It looks like something from 5th grade art class. Hopefully it will stay together.

Sorry about the photos. Sun was too bright to see, I had to point and shoot.

Most glorious day yesterday. Rode the reborn G5 to our annual local vintage motorcycle show.  Many great bikes and it seemed as if everyone just wanted to get out and show them off.  We even got at least two if not three biker gangs from off Cape in full colors.  It was a little unnerving but also interesting.

Overall, good day because I got to ride.  The EV1100 is giving me fits, but it did run a short time and I got to ride it around the block.  That's a damn fun machine!   And I had a nice, longer ride on the R1250 (yeah, I have a Beemer).  Rained on me, but again...it was a good ride.  Better than a car, for sure.

On Saturday the choir I'm a member of held our first concert since December 2019

It was a "come and sing" version of GF Handel's magnificent Messiah where anyone could sing with us on the day.

It's nice to see some normality returning to life

Scanner says #3 injector open & #3 misfire. 2000 Jeep 4.0 Warmed up might start w/misfire, cold always starts. Don't want to buy cheap injectors but they ain't cheap for good ones. 3 out of the 6 have a crack on the side of them and 1 is the misfire. Stuck open will wash the cyl wall. Not good.

Wife and I spent the morning paragliding, she took delivery on her new glider, then we nipped off to pick up my V85TT from the shop, where they'd finished a service interval, uploaded a new map, and swapped in the set of OEM tubeless wheels I picked up this summer.  Since the bike is still under warranty, I don't have any tire tools in the garage right now, and it's a Really Good Shop, it made sense to let them do all the work this time around.  Finished up with a trip to a nice local beerhouse.

Coulda been worse

Next week things get back to normal... alas...
