We stayed in Staunton, VA on Saturday night and decided to add some mileage to the ride home on Sunday by going south and around the Staunton area. The attached loop turned out to be pretty nice. If you pass
Flippin-Seaman Orchard, you're on the right track.
Starting on 250 to 6 to 151 to 666(ironically there's a church on that corner) to 56 north. We went up past Vesuvius and finished up by getting on 11 and then 39 to Marlinton...where we were questioned by a fellow that had been following us since Warm Springs.
Lots of Gaps, Runs and Hollows....but luckily no rain! Saw a Black Bear and two Foxes.. Nice trip. 723 miles total Sat/Sun.
