You might be surprised at my age, I don't know why you presume I'm young, is it because I say silly things ? I actually presumed you were after (quite rightly) tearing me a new ass when I transgressed in some way, (didn't do me any harm either I might say!). Can be a surprise though when you see yourself in an un posed photo and you think "who is that old bastard?"

No, I'm properly calibrated to the LOHSOBS now, we've got enough asses already, don't need any more, besides which I'm not authorized to fabricate any new ones.

I'm not surprised at your age unless you typed in the wrong one on your WG profile.   You're younger than me by an olympiad (according to the profile) so that makes you a mere tyke.

My wife always liked SWMBO.  I wonder why?

ORF  Old Retired Fart

WFTO  from military radio use, WTF, Over.

I remember writing stuff when I was in the Army that had tons of acronyms.  The best one was a three page letter that had two pages of acronyms.  Every paper had to have an addendum with each acronym spelled out, just in case the person reading it was not familiar with them.  Became a big deal once the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) released documents to the unwashed public, especially journalists  ;)

In military boot camps you hear, "T rainee U ndergoing  R recruit. D  development".

Usually used by a Bamfic to a slow learning boot.
As in " You are a real T U R D"!

Also. BAMFIC.    Bad ass M. F. in charge

Working for the Department of National Defence I worked with a senior staff officer that insisted each Brifing Note begin with BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front). Leave it to the big heads to come up with a four letter acronym to replace a three letter word, AIM ...
